Treading the Path

We cannot tread the path to ultimate awakening without being a practitioner, a real dharma person. What must we do to become practitioners? We must study and practise properly. This is the only way. Our first aim is to develop renunciation and pure faith towards the Lama and the Dharma. Once we have those, it won’t be so hard to become a practitioner. Without them, no matter how diligently we do the things that make us look like a practitioner, ultimately, we will not make any real progress on the path.
