We are delighted to announce that Thrangu Sekhar will once again open its doors for the third annual one-week retreat, led by our retreat master, Drupon Khen Rinpoche Karma Lhabu.
The timing of the retreat was chosen to commemorate both the passing of our Lama, Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, and the anniversary of the Buddha’s enlightenment and passing from the world.
This one-week retreat will be an opportunity to immerse oneself in study, contemplation and practice. It will include meditation and mind training instructions, practice sessions and Q&A. The retreat is open to anyone interested in the Dharma and meditation.

Application Date
All applications must be submitted before the deadline of 14th January 2026. You will be informed whether you received a place or not by 14th February 2026.
Application Information
• Given the limited capacity of the meditation centre, and to try and ensure that those who will benefit most from the retreat do not miss out, participants will be selected by the organisers once all applications have been received, rather than working on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Please read the following application requirements carefully. Applicants must be qualified as described below and provide the required personal information.
• If participants who have been given a place cancel without good reason, do not follow the rules of the retreat, or fail to complete the retreat, they will not be welcome to attend any future such retreats or courses.
• Applications from non-Buddhists and non-religious people are welcome.
Application Requirements
Participants must be able to follow all rules of the meditation centre. The main rules are:
• To attend all meditation and teaching sessions for the duration of the retreat.
• To not interfere in the affairs of others.
• To maintain silence in the public areas of the retreat centre (the temple, dining area, corridors, etc.)
■ We ask that the following types of individuals not apply, for they will not be given a place:
• Those who have an unresolved conflict with a Vajrayana lama of theirs.
• Those of poor physical or mental health or those whose personal situation might create obstacles to their own or others’ full participation in the retreat.
• Those who have failed to complete retreats they have committed themselves to in the past.
Whether or not you are able to attend, we wish you a swift path to awakening.
