Sekhar Open Teachings: The Jewel Ornament of Liberation

Hot on the heels of completing the teachings on ‘The Life and Songs of Milarepa’ Drupon Khen Rinpoche Karma Lhabu began a new text today. Rinpoche started teaching ‘The Jewel Ornament of Liberation’ composed by the master of the Kagyu lineage, Lord Gampopa, to nearly 300 students of all ages from around 30 countries.

This text elegantly combines the precious Stages of the Path (Lamrim) of the Kadampa school with the profound Mahamudra teachings of the Kagyu tradition. Acting as a comprehensive roadmap for practice, it guides ordinary practitioners step by step toward the ultimate shore of liberation and enlightenment.

This text holds profound significance not only for the Kagyu lineage, it is celebrated as the first systematic text on the Mahayana stages of the path authored by a Tibetan master.
