Kagyu Monlam

We gathered for a week at Kagyu Samye Ling for the fifth UK Kagyu Monlam, from May 30 to June 5. The abbot of Kagyu Samye Ling, Choje Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, presided over the event as the head of the congregation.

During the Monlam, I gave two Dharma teachings each day.

Choje Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche is a Gelong (a fully ordained monk), a direct disciple of the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje and brother of Kyabje Akong Rinpoche. He is steadfast and reliable in character and not someone who resorts to flattery for personal gain. He is one of the most venerable Tibetan lamas living in the West. An excellent lama who exerts himself in practice.

To conclude, I pray that everyone’s mind may turn toward the Dharma, so that peace and well-being may prevail throughout the world.
