Thrangu Sekhar Retreat’s 21-Year Programme

A new 21 year programme has just commenced in Thrangu Sekhar Retreat Centre. The programme prioritises the major treatises on the five principle topics of the sutras and the thirteen tantras in Marpa’s tradition of the secret mantra, including ripening empowerments, liberating instructions and explanations of the supportive treatises. The students comprise 56 sangha members from 20 different countries, both East and West. This is undertaken with the heartfelt wish that their aspirations in harmony with the dharma will be fulfilled and that the precious buddha dharma of scripture and realisation will spread and thrive well into the future.
A small inaugurating event was held on 27th April 2021 (15th day of the 3rd Tibetan month) to coincide with the anniversary of our exceptionally kind Teacher, the Buddha, manifesting in the form of Kalachakra and expounding the 12000 root tantras. I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to everyone who attended, including our monastery’s Tulku Damcho, Choje Lama Wangchuk, senior khenpo Karma Tashi and Khenpo Sherab Puntsok.
