Conclusion of Akong Rinpoche Anniversary Retreat

Today was the final day of a one week retreat to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Choje Akong Rinpoche’s passing, presided over by Drupon Khen Rinpoche.
Many of Akong Rinpoche’s senior students attended the retreat, together with newer Buddhists just starting out on the path.
Drupon Rinpoche taught the chapter from Milarepa’s life which tells how Milarepa returned home to find his mother had passed away, his sister lost and his house in ruins. Drupon Rinpoche elucidated Milarepa’s reaction to this and how it inspired Milarepa to practise with diligence.
Drupon Rinpoche also took many questions from those who attended, which covered various aspects of the Buddhist path and beyond.
