MTS Translation Projects

Following the book launch of Marpa Translation Society’s first publication, we would like to share with you the list of Dharma texts currently being translated by MTS.

At the time of inception in 2015, MTS had five founding members, now there are fifty-five members who have translated, or are translating, 35 texts into 7 languages: English, Chinese, Nepali, French, German, Spanish and Norwegian.

Most MTS members have committed to life-retreat or staying in retreat until the completion of the 21-year Marpa Tantra Study and Practice Programme.

The main aim of MTS is to translate classic Tibetan Buddhist texts – treatises, instructions and advice, and particularly those works authored by Indian and Tibetan masters who are universally accepted as learned and genuine – to support the practice and study of Dharma.
