Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche Memorial Retreat
To coincide with Vesak – the day we celebrate the Compassionate Teacher, the universal refuge of all us living beings – and to mark the one-year anniversary since the dissolution into the expanse of reality of the display of the form body of the peace-gone Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, the glorious and true lama, Thrangu Dharmakara and the retreat centre collaborated to arrange a one-week retreat for the faithful who had come from overseas.
In his autobiography, the lord of refuge, Thrangu Rinpoche, stated that his primary intention was to help the teachings of the practice lineage flourish widely by combining study and practice. Accordingly, each day on this retreat, there are four practice sessions on calm abiding and insight meditation and two teaching sessions. For me personally, this is to fulfil the glorious and true lama’s intention and to offer some slight service with a sense of care and concern for the precious teachings of the practice lineage.
The resident and visiting retreatants gathered together to offer the Mila Feast practice to adorn the retreat's conclusion.
I pray this becomes a cause for the complete fulfilment of the glorious lama’s wise intention and that the wishes of us dependant disciples and subjects come true in harmony with the Dharma.
